Modality of Care: Reiki

After graduating from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, I found myself at a crossroads, keen to dive into the world of wellness but uncertain of the path ahead. My journey took a significant turn when I encountered personal health challenges that conventional medicine could not resolve. I took my health into my own hands and dove deep into the world of alternative and holistic healing modalities.  I developed a deep appreciation for disciplines such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Energy Work, Functional Medicine, and Nutrition.

In 2021, I began working at The Way as a receptionist and instantly connected with the space and its practitioners. I continued to expand my knowledge of holistic wellness and decided to go to school to become a Certified Nutritional Practitioner. Alongside my studies, Reiki emerged as another modality that I instantly connected with.  It has been a transformative practice for its ability to clear energy blockages and initiate my own self-healing.

Each session leaves me feeling lighter, revitalized, and more connected with myself. This is the gift that I aspire to share with my clients—a safe space where they can simply be, and receive the nurturing energy of Reiki. Through our sessions, I empower individuals to embark on their own healing journeys with confidence and clarity.

Reiki: $100
Reiki is an ancient healing method rooted in the concept of universal life energy. It is the energy that flows through and all around us. The practitioner uses light touch and intention to transfer this sacred energy to the individual receiving treatment.  This treatment focuses on restoring energy flow within the body, targeting seven main energy centers known as chakras. When energy pathways are blocked, it can lead to illness, weakness, or pain. During a session, the practitioner facilitates the transfer of healing energy to the recipient, promoting alignment and peace. Reiki is known for its ability to induce deep relaxation and alleviate symptoms on all levels—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—resulting in improved well-being and vitality.
