Laura Salas

Modality of Care: Registered Massage Therapist

Laura Salas brings compassion, intuition, and technical skill to her practice. Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, she was drawn to the natural beauty of the Canadian Rockies in 2011. Laura quickly became an avid climber, hiker, and cyclist, exploring Alberta’s majestic mountain trails. Her journey to becoming an RMT was ignited by a multi-faceted curiosity: a desire to delve deep into the biomechanics of the human body, and an earnest passion for exploring the dynamic relationship between nervous system regulation and mental health. Personal life experiences involving stress, athletic injuries, and chronic pain acted as catalysts that propelled her into the world of massage therapy.

Receiving her 2200-hour RMT Diploma in 2019 from Mount Royal University, Laura understands the body from multiple angles. Her skill shines through in her ability to pinpoint and treat the source of pain or limitations. Laura specializes in a targeted combination of deep tissue, myofascial release and relaxation techniques. She believes in the transformative power of incorporating movement and stretching into her sessions, customizing her approach to meet the distinct needs of each patient.

When she isn’t practicing massage, Laura enjoys dance, photography, poetry and exploring the Alberta foothills. She approaches her practice the way she approaches life, with deep curiosity and devotion.
