Modality of Care: Doctor of Acupuncture + Registered Massage Therapist

 

Sage received her Acupuncture diploma at the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, holding a license with the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta. Sage holds a diploma as Registered Massage Therapist, with additional training in myofascial cupping, acupressure and prenatal massage, and an extensive background in somatic based movement education. Sage completed a diploma in Holistic Nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, and has training in both Chinese and Western herbal medicine. 

Sage draws from her well-rounded skill set of multidisciplinary studies to understand her patients health and select an effective treatment plan to meet their needs. Sage utilizes Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Massage Therapy, Nutritional Therapy and Herbal Medicine in her clinical practice today. 

Sage was drawn to understanding health and wellness from a young age, experiencing insight through her own health journey. This has led to continuous study of the body through many disciplines, from medicine to movement practices, and the development of holistic health care practice. Sage aims to assist her clients in symptomatic care, prevention and the development of a healthy lifestyle. Sage believes in a collaborative approach to wellness, and meets each person where they are on their own unique health journey, to support them in achieving their goals.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Consultation - $165
A comprehensive consultation provided by Sage, a Doctor of Acupuncture. Focusing on the root of your imbalance, Traditional Chinese Medicine uncovers ‘the why’ this is happening in your body. This consultation provides Sage with the necessary information to give a proper and accurate diagnosis. You will be supplied with an acupuncture treatment, herbal guidance, lifestyle and dietary advice and any other Chinese Medicine modalities that are individual to your diagnosis and will aid in your healing process. ex, cupping, gua sha, electrical stimulation, acutonics, auricular acupuncture, acupressure, etc.

Standard Acupuncture Follow-Up - $110
A follow-up session to the Initial TCM Consultation. Can also be booked by those who are not interested in a consultation and want an acupuncture treatment. Includes an acupuncture treatment and any other Chinese Medicine modality Sage believes will aid in your healing process. (ie, tu'ina, cupping, electroacupuncture, gua sha, etc)

Sports Medicine Acupuncture - (Initial Consultation $165/ Follow-Up $110)
Sports Medicine Acupuncture is a unique approach to the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. In these sessions, the injury is treated according to local symptoms, channels, meridians and fascia affected, as well as underlying system imbalances that may be contributing to the pathology. These sessions utilize a combination of tools as indicated for the condition, such as Acupuncture, Electo-Acupuncture, Cupping, Auricular Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, dietary and herbal therapy, and client-home care to achieve optimal results.

Cosmetic Acupuncture - (Initial Consultation $180/ Follow-Up $160 [+ $20 LED Light Therapy add-on for follow up])
Dr. Sage is trained in both traditional cosmetic acupuncture and Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture, meaning “beautiful person”, reflecting the natural beauty inner + outer beauty enhancing qualities of this therapy. Cosmetic acupuncture is an effective preventative and symptomatic therapy, that targets the collagen matrix of the dermis, to enhance skin health and youthfulness. Aging is a reflection of the body’s internal process, and these sessions utilize the complete and holistic approach of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to support the root of imbalance and support vitality from the inside out. Benefits of these sessions:

Fire Cupping - $60

Acupuncture + Massage Hybrid (75min - $150) - Acupuncture + Massage combined treatments are designed for those who want a bit of both. Sage starts the session with Massage techniques, releasing muscle tension and supporting the body to enter a state of relaxation. Then, Acupuncture needles are inserted to facilitate the treatment goals. These combination sessions are designed for both Sports Medicine and Relaxation therapies. Cupping (Fire or Silicone) may also be used as indicated.

Relaxation Massage (60min - $120 / 90min $180) - Relaxation massage is known for its effects of reducing physical, mental and emotional stress. Reducing the sympathetic nervous system stress response enhances the body’s natural capacity to heal and come back into balance. Through Sage's unique approach to massage, you will leave feeling relaxed, connected and grounded in your body. Her massage practice is informed by her studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, as well as her movement and embodiment practices.

Therapeutic Massage (60min - $120 / 90min $180) - In a therapeutic massage session, Sage utilizes her skillset in orthopedic assessment, posture, movement, fascial lines and meridian systems to understand and treat the affected tissues. Sage is trained in treating a wide variety of dysfunctions and injuries, and assists her patients with pain management, improved mobility and tissue healing. These sessions consist of assessment and treatment, as well as a home care plan specific to your condition and lifestyle.

Therapeutic Relaxation Massage (60min - $120 / 90min $180) - These sessions are the best of both worlds, combining relaxation and therapeutic massage principles and techniques to help you reach your wellness goals. In a therapeutic relaxation treatment, Sage spends the majority of the session focusing on relaxing the tissues and nervous system to reduce muscle tension and gradually moves deeper into specific problem areas to treat the dysfunctional tissue.
