Ingredients: Mugwort - Ai Ye, epsom salts

Benefits: warms the channels, dispels cold and dampness, alleviates pain. Mugwort foot soak can be used for sore joints, poor circulation and detoxification. This therapy can also be used to promote relaxation, improve sleep, support digestive strength and regulate menstrual cycles. Mugwort helps ground the body, and nourish the yin channels relating to the kidney, liver and spleen meridians. 

Directions: fill a bowl large enough to emerge feet into with hot water, add one mugwort pouch, let steep for three to five minutes. Once water is cooled to desired temperature, submerge feet and relax for fifteen to thirty minutes. (This is a great time to practice mediation, do a face mask or gua sha routine, or read your favorite book, as your body warms and energies balance. Enjoy this moment of restoration and self care) 

Mugwort foot soak is in an ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine practice, known for its therapeutic and relaxing effect. Mugwort warms the meridians, increases circulation and dispels cold from the body. This therapy helps to calm the mind and promote a restful sleep, and is a wonderful way to relax in the evenings. It is also traditionally used to help regulate the menstrual cycle, especially for cramps and pain. 

How to use:

  • Place one pouch in a bowl, large enough to emerge both feet into 

  • heat water to desired temperature, and pour into bowl to let steep for 1-2 minutes 

  • once water has cooled to safe temperature, emerge feet for 5-20 minutes until your body feels warm

  • once you are finished, dry the feet and wear socks to keep warm

  • This therapy is best enjoyed before bed, and pairs well with meditation, facial gua sha, or a good book. Enjoy this moment of self care and restoration as your energy comes back into balance.
